After spending over a decade and a half dealing with high conflict divorce as an evaluator, a therapist, an expert witness, and as a consultant, it became clear that cases involving Parental Alienation and Parental Alienation Syndrome, must be handled differently than other divorce cases. It also became clear that failure to understand and appreciate this on the part of a mental health professional or a lawyer, could lead to disastrous results.

This website articulates the Consultative role that has been informed and shaped by the experience of the last fifteen years in dealing with these cases. Our sister site, www.parental-alienation.com, serves as the repository of information about these issues. This site, www.jmbconsulting.org, takes the information represented therein, and creates consultative insights used to assist parents in Family Court.

Examples of Consultative activities include:

  • Working to assist attorneys overcome assaults on their client’s character.
  • Helping parents rehabilitate their image in the eyes of the Court, and perhaps even their own children after it has been wrongly assaulted by false allegations.
  • Helping parents understand how to best respond to difficult behavior from their confused and traumatized children, as well as how to do so in ways that do not place them in the middle.
  • Working directly with the attorney to deal correctively with hostile professional witnesses who have mis-portrayed you as a parent.
  • Together with the attorney, strategies are developed to insure that the truth is revealed to the Court.
  • Creating a team approach to the process, giving the parent a much greater feeling of accountability and control over their lives.

It is hoped that the information offered herein are of help. If you would like to discuss your situation, you may do so by calling my assistant Paula at 407.443.5627 or you may email through this website.
